Position Summary

The Division Order Analyst reports to the Division Order Manager and is responsible for establishing, maintaining, and validating ownership records for Surge Energy’s operated and non‑operated assets. This role ensures accurate revenue distribution, compliance with state and federal regulations, and effective communication with internal and external stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

  • Create, analyze, and maintain Divisions of Interest (DOIs) for operated and non‑operated properties
  • Ensure timely setup of revenue and joint interest billing decks
  • Interpret title opinions, leases, assignments, probate documents, conveyances, pooling declarations, and JOAs
  • Prepare and issue division orders and transfer orders for new wells, recompletions, and ownership changes
  • Process Working Interest (WI) and Royalty Interest (RI) transfers, including sales, mergers, and probate
  • Collaborate with Land, Legal, Accounting, Revenue, and Operations teams
  • Resolve ownership discrepancies and title defects in coordination with Land and Legal
  • Respond to royalty owner and partner inquiries regarding ownership and payments
  • Maintain accurate data in land and revenue systems with audit readiness

Repsol Division Order Analyst

Position Overview

Repsol is seeking an experienced Division Order Analyst to support their Land Business Unit. This role is responsible for complex ownership calculations, deck maintenance, suspense management, and revenue distribution support for operated and non‑operated assets.

Core Responsibilities

  • Review title opinions, pooling declarations, leases, agreements, and related land documents
  • Ensure curative requirements are met prior to revenue distribution
  • Create and maintain DOI, JIB, and revenue decks (including burden groups)
  • Perform complex ownership calculations (WI, RI, ORRI, NRI, apportionment)
  • Maintain and release suspense in compliance with statutory requirements
  • Process conveyances, ownership changes, and address updates
  • Verify Repsol interests on outside‑operated division orders
  • Support unclaimed property audits and escheatment reviews
  • Track Revenue Distribution Sheets (RDS) and meet monthly DOI cutoffs
  • Respond to internal and royalty owner inquiries
  • Prepare and maintain organized electronic Division Order files
  • Support reporting and data integrity reviews

Required Qualifications

  • 7+ years oil & gas land or Division Order experience
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required
  • Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office
  • Experience with SAP PRA and Quorum (QDO)
  • Experience interpreting lease royalty provisions
  • Experience with Pennsylvania/Marcellus assets preferred
